KUROYURISHIMAI was formed by JURI and LISA KUROYURISHIMAI are also known as The Black Lily Sisters or 'les sœurs des lys noirs' as KURO means black, YURI - lily, and SHIMAI - sisters. While their primary work is to record their music, they also perform live concerts once or twice a year in Tokyo, together with guest musicians. Sumihisa Arima has been a regular guest with them. KUROYURISHIMAI love the art of Holly Warburton and the art and novels of Leonora Carrington. Sibylla is the name of their independent label formed in 1999.
