Kwabulawayo Kraal


South African hip-hop group from Germiston, Gauteng comprised of MC's Madala aka Godly Codesa and Khoi the Great Kiwi or simply Madala and Khoi. Originally known as OAU (Omnipotent Army Underground), a group comprised of 7 members, reduced to a duo they changed their name to KwaBulawayo Kraal in 2000. Known for their single "IgoostYe Khahlamba" rapping in Zulu, the name KwaBulawayo means Place of Death in Zulu which was the Kraal of King Shaka during his reign. Responsible for opening the first strictly hip-hop club "Zniko" in a township outside of Johannesburg, succeeding the days of Club Q and Le Club in downtown Johannesburg. The group have performed alongside the likes of Amu, Mizchif, Spex, and many more.
