A.k.a. DJ Daydream Dokta K Mr. Knickers Rocketeers
Internationally famous Australian happy hardcore producer and DJ. Born in Sydney, Australia and trained as a classical pianist as a child, DJ Daydream is undoubtedly Australia's best internationally known happy hardcore DJ. Kyle first heard Rave music and became largely interested in it, and began DJing. Not long after DJing for crowds in excess of 8000 people, he definitely realised he wanted to be playing his own records. With his musical background, making his own happy hardcore records was just a matter of learning the technology. An engineering course and several thousand dollars later, Daydream had the tools and knowledge to complete his task, writing music. Daydream has had releases on the well known happy hardcore labels Essential Platinum and Evolution Gold, as well as tracks on the phenomenally successful Bonkers 3 compilation CD, on the React label. In 1998 Daydream decided to create his own label, and Red Rocket Records was born. Distributed by the same company that dealt with his previous records, he could meet the same market and get a better deal at the same time. With his first release on the new label gaining much acclaim, it wasn't until the second release that Daydream can now say that he holds the number one selling happy hardcore record in Japan ever, with his "Falling Over The Moon" release. Red Rocket Records was shut down circa 2000 due to finance problems, which was around the same time Kyle left the happy hardcore scene. A couple of years later, he united with DJ Midian and formed a Hard Trance group labelled 'Alienation'. After a couple of tracks being released, Alienation was abandoned, and Kyle left music. Kyle now lives in Asia and works for American Express with no further plans of production or DJing, but im sure his contribution to Australian Happy Hardcore and Happy Hardcore in general will never be forgotten...
