Stage name 江波杏子 / Kyouko Enami. Japanese actress and singer. Born October 15, 1942 in Tokyo. Made her film debut in 1960. The most striking thing in her profile is that her great-grandfather was 柴田平五郎 (Heigorou Shibata), a planting craftworker who finally sheltered 沖田総司 (Souji Okita). Souji Okita (Sōji Okita 1842 or 1844 - July 19, 1868) was the captain of the first unit of 新選組 (Shinsengumi) , a special police force in Kyoto during the late shogunate period. He was one of the best swordsmen of the Shinsengumi. Her mother 江波和子 (Kazuko Enami) was a movie actress active in Toho before the war.
