Originally released on cassette by Unique Ancient Tavern. Limited to 100 copies. Packaged in black folder with 9 inserts. Materials for these recordings were collected at the site of a ruined factory in South San Francisco, 1996. The performance during which the music was recorded took place at Scene / Scena Gallery in San Francisco (1997) and the SEAMUS Annual Symposium at Dartmouth College (1998). When we returned to the factory later in 1998, we found in its place a massive lot of smoothed dirt, enclosed by a fence. So this record comes, at last, as a sort of memorial to a building, as well as to the crows and the horned owl that had made it their refuge. It is music for the ghost of actions.
