A.k.a. Larry Murphy

University of Houston alumnus Larry Murphy has music on the mind. Graduating with a BA in Communications: Media Production, he chose to pursue a career in the music industry by enrolling in HCC’s Audio Engineering program. Upon his arrival at Tierra, Larry demonstrated his knowledge of recording technology, a sound work ethic, and a good pair of ears, securing his place at Tierra Studios. Since then, Larry has worked his way from intern to assistant engineer, with involvement in a wide variety of projects, including major location recording gigs all over Houston. Larry is also a well-known and respected DJ in Houston. DJ’ing consistently for the past 10 years, he has established a unique sound that people enjoy on a weekly basis. Additionally, he co-wrote and released a 12″ record in 2006 on Houston’s Uniform Recordings, a internationally acclaimed dance music record label.
