French electroacoustic studio founded by Luc Ferrari in 1982 and now run by David Jisse since 1999. Established as "Centre de création musicale en Ile-de-France" to support contemporary music production in relation with new recording and broadcasting techniques, MEC welcomes composers on a regular basis to assist them for composing and producing commissioned works. MEC also curates the "Extension" festival, the "Hörspiel" bi-annual competition for radio art, as well as regular concerts and workshops aimed for youngsters. MEC is funded by Ministère de la culture et de la communication, DRAC Ile-de-France, Conseil Régional d'Ile-de-France, Conseil Général du Val-de-Marne, Alfortville City, Rectorat de Créteil with Ville de Paris, SACEM, SPEDIDAM, ADAMI, FCM, Fondation de France & Adiam 94.
