The Well-Tuned Piano In Magenta Lights was recorded and filmed in concert May 10, 1987, at 155 Mercier Street, New York City. The work was initially available as an Advance Preview Limited Edition of 296 copies. This edition, by Just Dreams, is a First Limited Edition of 240 copies in super jewel box style DVD case with a magazine-size booklet (38 pages). The Well-Tuned Piano is a composition by La Monte Young that began in 1964 and has extended since. This DVD is subtitled "In Magenta Lights", which refers to the light-installation that Marian Zazeela is responsible for.
