Larry Thurman Pretlow II (born June 19, 1989 in Washington, D.C., United States), is an American rapper, songwriter, record producer. He is more commonly known by his stage name LaPret. He was a founding-member of the rap group Profound Intent and the Hip-Hop duo Keen Starz . He first earned recognition in 2012 with the release of his solo single Problem In Harlem and was dubbed the Rapper-Politician or Rapper-in-Politician by the Washington City Paper. In April 2015 he finally released his debut solo EP Another Day: Love's Imperfections on his LaPret World Music imprint. At the young age of four, LaPret developed a passion for music and performing under the influence of Notorious B.I.G., Jay-Z and Aaliyah. He credits 90's music as being the foundation of his craft as a Songwriter and Music Producer.
