Lake Placid was TK alias Tania Kristin Skaptadottír Ballentine (female vocals), Jannis Noya Makrigiannis (guitar, organ, background vocals), Lasse Sort (bass, synth, programming, organ), Christoffer Brasen Griebel (guitar, organ, synth, chimes), Frederik Sølberg (guitar, organ, drums), Nikolaj Callisen Friis (trumpet, background vocals), Thor Andreas Rasmussen (flute, synth, organ, background vocals) and Jacob Lundgård Jensen (drums, background vocals). They formed the group with that line-up in 2001, and in 2002 they released the EP "Go Go Grasp" on their own label. From this the single "My Machine" got #1 on Danish indie radio Barometeret. In 2004 they released "Make More Friends", produced by Swedish producer Marco Manieri. The first single from the album, "Is This Love", kept at #1 during two weeks on Danish indie radio Barometeret and play listed at national radio P3.
