American bass player, replaced in November 1972, Berry Oakley (who died in a motorcycle accident) in the group of The Allman Brothers Band until 1976, after he was among the founders of the ' 'Sea Level'', died of cancer. Born: January 14, 1949 in Gulfport, Mississippi. Died : January 21, 1983.
