Single released alongside the book, "Cool Pastoral Splendor". From Lambchop's Facebook page 20/12/16: "Cool Pastoral Splendor is a book of photographs from Richard Saxton's Rural Research Archive and accompanying writings by Kurt Wagner. Here we find two artists in collaboration focusing on the non-heroic, psychic and lyrical unfolding of daily events. Cool Pastoral Splendor leaves us in search of beauty hidden in plain sight. As a companion to the book they also have collaborated on a 7" vinyl recording based on the visual and literary aspects to the book. It features an unreleased version of the Lambchop song "Nice Without Mercy" and a new song "The Nashville Numbers System" . The record will be available Jan 6, 2017. The book is availble now just in time for the holidays thru Jap Sam Books and M12 Studio and Last Chance Press.
