Pietro Frosini (1885-1951) is one of the modern traits accordion innovators, both musically and technically instruments. He lived most of his life in the United States and was there active as both composer and teacher. One of his students was the åland-American Walter Eriksson. On this LP, Lars Ek, one of Sweden's best accordionist developed some of the most popular Frosini pieces and plays them in a convincing manner. To get the absolute correct 30-century character of the music, he uses a raggie Special from the late 30's. Ove Hahn President, Swedish Accordion Players Association, SDR.
