Laura and Terry met in a Workingmen's club in Seacroft, Leeds, UK, the year was 1968. Terry's job at the time was a bus driver and he lived in the Whinmoor part of Leeds. Laura was from Crossgates in Leeds. They worked semi professional in Clubs. They appeared on Opportunity Knocks in '75 and came 3rd. They split to become a comedy double act and worked professionally touring South Wales, the North East.. Also they won the Pub Entertainer of the Year award in, 1983. winning a tour of the South Coast Holiday camps. Terry split up with Laura in 1988 becoming a stand up comedian. Terry appeared on Opportunity Knocks in 1990 when it was compared by Les Dawson.
