Lauren Bolger
Lauren is a published writer and Creative Writing PhD researcher from Keele University. Her poetry and flash fiction has been shortlisted for the Bridport and the Bare Fiction prize. In 2012, she was awarded the Roy Fisher prize for her debut collection of poetry ‘Lucy’s Evening’. Since 2009, Lauren has actively been promoting a fusion of poetry readings and live music with her regular and critically acclaimed Paradox nights. A prolific collaborator in the improvised and fringe music scene, often utilising her poetry, Lauren is also the founder and frontwoman of experimental rock group Locean, member of ritual improv group Water and has recently performed with Sonic Youth’s Thurston Moore, Weasel Walter and Lydia Lunch.
