Lauri Hyvärinen (b. 1986) is a Finnish guitarist, improviser, and electronic musician from Helsinki. He uses guitar as a main sound source, primarily interested in improvisation. In addition to solo activities, Hyvärinen has been a member of Horst Quartet, Mustat Kalsarit, The Truckfuckers, DWNSTRS, Supermasters, XXXXXX, Verisuoniongelmia, Rutto & Koivusalo, Patrik Pakokauhu, Linnunlaulupuu and other bands. Lauri played concerts in Finland, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Latvia, Norway, Russia, Sweden and United Kingdom, as well as created theater music and sound installations as a part of Linnunlaulupuu. Some of his collaborators include Olli Aarni, James Andean, Ilia Belorukov, Julien Chamla, Pentti Dassum, Geoffroy Gesser, Jean-Brice Godet, Tuukka Haapakorpi, Ilpo Heikkinen, Helved Rüm, Simon Henocq, Hopeajärvi, Derek Holzer, Mikko Innanen, Jari Kaukua, Tommi Keränen, Teemu Korpipää, Leevi Lehto, Teemu Manninen, Kimmo Modig, Solmund Nystabakk, Marco Quaresimin, RANK Ensemble, Saara Rautio, Héctor Rey (2), Edgars Rubenis, Jone Takamäki, Patric Thorman, Topias Tiheäsalo, Jaakko Tolvi, Taneli Viitahuhta, Alan Wilkinson, Jack Wright and Hermanni Yli-Tepsa.
