Lawrence "Buck Rogers" Rodriguez as he is better known; played music from a young age. In his lifetime he had played with the likes of The Night Owls (4), Cy Holly and The Rockets (14). In 1958 he went on to form his own band with Mike Steen and Dale Houston. They became "Buck Rogers and the Jets." He wrote and recorded "Crazy Baby" and several other songs. He was inducted into the Louisiana Hall of Fame in 1997. At age 50 he gave up the night life and went on to play music for the Lord in Church.
