Track 1 inner note: This composition is a manipulated recording of indoor and outdoor sparklers. Processing has been kept to a minimum in order to retain textures inherent in the sound source. Recorded at home, April 2002. Track 2 inner note: This composition was constructed of sounds from three lamps simultaneously burning facsimile paper. When one lamp was turned off after reaching its peak, the next lamp was turned on, and this cycles the process. Recorded at Irwell Valley campus, University of Salford, U.K., April 2002.
