Singer of Pop
British-born Canadian singer and record company executive from Montreal. His singing career was mainly just before, during, and after WWII. His singing career ended in the late 1940s on the eve of joining the Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra when a blood vessel in his throat broke. He started his own nightclub in Trois Rivieres, Quebec that went under within 2 months. He then managed a record store for a year-and-a-half until 1955 when he joined Quality Records Limited. He would rise through the ranks to eventually become Vice-President. He left Quality in September 1975 to join CTI Records Of Canada Ltd. as General Manager when it moved offices to Toronto from Montreal. In 1976 he left CTI and founded Mark-Lin Records Inc. which he ran until closing the company in 1990 due to his declining health. He passed away in 1996 at age 71
