Choir based in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex. Founded in the Autumn of 1968, its origins lie in the South East Essex Welsh Society. Gerwyn Parry, a Welshman who was teaching at the Westcliff High School for Boys, encouraged a group of Welsh Society members to get together for a sing-song from time to time, and out of these occasional meetings was established a Local Government evening class choir. Musical Directors: Gerwyn Parry (1968-1989), David Clark (1990-2012), Janet Walker 2013 to present) Accompanists: Gwyneth Lawrence (1968-1982), Steven Miller (1982-1984), Janet Walker (1988-2012), Jacky Atkinson (2013-2017), Kay Duell (2017 to present)
