In her performance with the annual Ladies in Blues Show, where she has brought down the house with her tributes to Aretha Franklin, Alberta Hunter and many more. Lela’s experience comes from many places such as the 1992 Gospel Festival where she sang alongside such artists as Sissy Houston, Odette, The Staple Singers, and Dutch Robinson. This event led into the formation of the ECMA Award winning Nova Scotia Mass Choir which Lela has been a member of for 20 years. Lela performed with The Nova Scotia Mass Choir and as a soloist in CBC’S Hallelujah for two seasons (26 episodes).
