Circonstances / Variations is a series of variations around the track Circonstances. Circonstances, from the album Lost-Wax by Lena and the Floating Roots Orchestra (released in 2008 on Plush). Without being actual remixes, yet roaming freely from the original track, these variations give Lena the opportunity to develop long, repetitive electronic layers with dub consonances. In the wake of Basic Channel productions, but keeping within Lena's own specific richness and sonic complexity, this series is to be unravelled on 3 vinyl EPs. This album is co-produced with the label Sounds Around and the collective Octobre Blanc. Mastered at Metarc.
