Jazz, Spoken Word and Classical (Education, Free Improvisation, Classical, Spoken Word)
During October-November 1973, at Harvard University, Leonard Bernstein delivered a series of Six lectures as Norton Professor of poetry. The Norton lectures were stablished in 1925 to honor Charles Eliot Norton, professor of the history at Harvard, and the word "Poetry" was then defined in its broadest sense to include Music. CBS Records made the entire series available to the general public. Each lecture was recorded, complete with Mr. Bernstein's illustrations at the Piano and with its requisite Orchestral examples. Bernstein And "The Ultimate Ambiguity" Reprinted, by permission, from the Harvard University Gazette.
