Composer, violinist, conductor. (1850-1902) Born on September 9, 1850 in Niterói RJ. Died in Rio de Janeiro on September 6, 1902. Leopoldo Miguez was a Brazilian composer. Born in Niterói, Miguez studied at conservatories in Paris. He was known as a champion of the music of Richard Wagner. He also directed the "Instituto Nacional de Musica."
