Group founded in 1960 in Brazzaville, Congo , under the leadership of Jacques Loubélo , When it started, les Cheveux Crepus were originally a vocal group, then later, they move towards Afro-folk (voice and acoustic instruments), with Antoine Mondanda ( thumb piano ), Albert Rémy Massamba Coster and Mouninguissa (guitars), Maxime Kibongui, N'Zenze Kinouani Kazis Etienne Fila and Prosper Nkouri (Vocals) and an accordionist. Les Cheveux Crepus will record only one LP, a self-titled album on the label Fidsound and will accompanied the singer Kazis on at least 2 singles.
