French instrumental band formed in 1962 in the city of Rennes by fellows Jean-Pierre Boyer fresh from Algeria and Daniel Hervé (from the band Les Spirales, a rock pioneer in Rennes), in the vein of The Shadows. Their mentor was guitarist Guy Tudy. They disbanded in 1965 but reformed in 2009. Lineup from 1962 to 1965: Jean-Pierre Boyer: lead guitar / Alain Belan: bass / Camille Buteault: rhythm guitar (replaced by Daniel Hervé end of 64 because Buteault did his national service) / Luc Ressaussière: drums. Line up in 2008: Daniel Hervé: rhythm guitar (former Spirales) / Yvon Rézé: drums (former Blue-Jeans), Boyer: lead guitar, Hervé Renimel: bass (replaced by Maurice Corbierre, both former Spirales).
