Les Légions Noires ('The Black Legions' in English) were a French group of underground black metal musicians and their bands, centred mostly around the city of Brest in Brittany. Some of the bands and solo projects involved were Aäkon Këëtrëh, Amaka Hahina, Belathuzur, Belkètre, Black Murder, Brenoritvrezorkre, Chapel Of Ghouls, Dvnaèbkre, Dzlvarv, Glorhme, Moëvöt, Mütiilation, Satanicum Tenebrae, Seviss, Susvourtre, Vagézaryavtre, Vénambre, Vlad Tepes, Vèrmyapre Kommando, Vladre and Vzaéurvbtre. Possibly the LLN, as the name is often abbreviated, were formed in the late 1980s, early 1990s, in response to or inspired by the supposed Norwegian "Black Metal Inner Circle." It is unclear whether the LLN are still active today or whether they have ceased to exist, possibly around 1996/97.
