Musician of Rock
Lesli Sanders grew up in Seattle. Bucking the Seattle trend of flannel and grunge, Lesli formed Talks Cheap, a full blown glam band as a teenager. Eventually he moved to Hollywood, where he played bass and wrote the songs for bubblegum glam/punk band Queeny Blast Pop. Eventually Queeny Blast Pop moved back to Seattle and morphed in the less-makeup-but-still-the-same-sound punk band The Distractions. After that band ran its course, Lesli temporarily re-formed Queeny Blast Pop, which then morphed into the short lived City Girls' Boys. CGB was more in the Hanoi Rocks vein of glam. After CGB parted ways, Lesli joined Pretty Boy Floyd, where he was chief songwriter for the band's "Size Really Does Matter" cd. After leaving Pretty Boy Floyd, Lesli formed The Prophets of Addiction, and started doing solo material on the side. For nearly three decades, Lesli Sanders has been one of the last true glamsters out there, carrying the torch for a generation of devotees. He has never become the rock star he should have become, but he's still making great music after all these years!
