The 5th installment to come from James Dexter’s label Inermu comes in the form of this 4 track ‘Belle Las Time EP’ from Liam Geddes. The EP kicks off with the title track ʻBelle Las Time, a deep grooving minimal/tech house number, lead by rolling drums, hypnotic pads and female vocals. Following this, track 2 ʻCanʼt Changeʼ hammers the speaker bass bins with its driving bassline and groovy funk samples cutting in throughout. Diving deeper into the EP, ʻLyingʼ is a stripped back drum driven roller; with its eerie pads and dark bassline, this is defiantly one for the basements & warehouse parties. Lastly but by no means least the EP finishes with ʻMindstateʼ, a perfectly swung deep house groove which truly represents the underground sound Liam has mastered so well. Swinging hats and grooving bassline, what more do you need.
