The phrase we use at the Looq Record office for this type of sound is "Deep Cinematic". It's a style that we actively seek out for the label because it pulls in so many fresh sounds and brilliant compositions. All of these notions are fully exhibited on this release from London U.K. based Lifecycle. "Lino Cosmos Relaid" was conceived as a collection of remixes from Richochet Records artist Fourth Product, the original material being part of a collection that Lifecycle recently recorded with a full band. The tracks here hit a huge range of emotions, the resulting experience being not dissimilar to that of an orchestral performance. "Lino Cosmos Relaid" is not trying to be ambient or "deep" or anything in particular. Instead, it simply spreads its wings to bring together shades of broken beat, electronica, elements reminiscent of the Orb and 4AD recordings, and more, all to form one stunning and cohesive creative work. This is music worth listening to over and over. The brainchild behind Lifecycle is Geoffrey Dent, a London U.K. based artist who's productions have also appeared on Electrofly, London Breakz, Glack Audio, Lifecycle's artistic roots are in Breakbeat and Drum & Bass, but their overall creative output has amounted to far more than these genres can hold. Lifecyle's current focus is on live performances featuring band members Geoffrey Dent (guitar/vox), Letitia Austin ("subbass"), and Nick Holder (drums)
