Formed in 2008, in the demise of Delaware-based Dead And Buried and New Jersey’s When These Days End, the motivated members of both bands united to form LIFELESS — also known as LIFELESS NLFTW — who began immediately writing and recording material and taking it to the masses live anywhere they feasibly could. With monolithic, metallic tones, grooves which plow through everything with the force of glaciers, and pummeling breakdowns, the band was quickly recognized as a new force in the East Coast hardcore scene with which to be reckoned. LIFELESS’ debut LP, NLFTW, was released by Harvcore Records in 2011, and was followed two years later with the If I Could Be Anyone But Me 7” by the same label. They expanded the scope of their attack, and began touring beyond their Eastern US turn, invading the Southeast and Midwest regions on tour, began picking up more high profile festival slots including every installment of the annual This Is Hardcore Fest in Philadelphia, and crossed the Atlantic for their first European excursion in 2012. 2015 will show LIFELESS NLFTW at their most deadly yet, as their massive second LP, Dream, is currently being completed for release in late March. Their first release for Fast Break! Records packs a dozen tracks into a demoralizing, forty-minute beating, with equal parts gloomy, metallic groove and unwavering aggression, recorded and produced by Len Carmichael. Diehard listeners and pit-dwellers who regular the works of Born From Pain, Crowbar, Hatebreed, Cold As Life and 100 Demons will want to place LIFELESS’ Dream at the top of their list.
