Lindsay Shilling is a trombonist born in Cambridgeshire. He studied at the Royal College of Music, and was sub-principal trombone with the London Symphony Orchestra and principal with the London Philharmonic. He is currently the principal trombone with the Royal Opera House Orchestra. As a studio musician, he has featured on the soundtracks for Chicken Run, Gladiator, Lord of the Rings, and others. Shilling is professor of trombone at the Royal College of Music, London.
