Former vocalist, now voice coach. Daughter of Sam (S.J.) Popeil, creator of the Veg-O-Matic and Pocket Fisherman and sister to Ron Popeil, whose many products include the Ronco Food Dehydrator, Popeil Pasta Machine, and the Showtime Rotisserie. She auditioned for Frank Zappa's band in 1981 and took part in the August 1981 rehearsals. She performed with the band from December 1981. Lisa Popeil first did backing vocals for "Weird Al" Yankovic on his 1983 album In 3-D, which included the song "Mr. Popeil", a tribute to her famous father. She has continued to perform vocals on Weird Al's albums.
