Electronic and Folk
Lise-Lotte Norelius is an electronic musician from Stockholm, Besides composing new music for other musicians and electronics, she performs both as solo artist and in collaboration with other musicians and artists from different fields. She is one of the founders of the DIY ensemble Syntjuntan who has got a lot of attention for their workshops and concerts with textile instruments. She has a long history as percussionist in different fields like traditional african music, experimental rock, free improvised music and from combining percussion and sampled sounds in the group Anitas Livs. The wish to go further into electroacoustic music, grew during a project about acoustics 1996, where she composed her first 8-channel piece. She studied electroacoustic composition at Royal College in Stockholm from 1998 to 2002 and developed her work with live-electronics and realtime processing of percussion as well as other sound sources. Since then, she has composed music for speakers (EAM), musicians and live-electronics, installations, theater, poetry and dance performances. Last years she has been interested in controlling small motors, building small-simple-noisy devices, synth jewelry (Lo-Fi DIY) to use in combination with her Max/MSP software.
