Liyana Fizi is a Malaysian singer-songwriter, lyricist and rhythm guitarist. With a long-standing interest in the local independent music/arts scene, Liyana offers simple tunes which are a mix of indie pop and folk, complemented with occasional jazzy accents. The singer made her first debut as one of the founding members of Malaysian indie-pop band Estrella, back in 2007. From 2009 to date, Liyana performs as a solo act under her own name, and pursues music as an outlet for expression. Liyana is usually accompanied by her band of sessionists fondly known as the 'Liyana Fizi Quartet' - comprising of bassist Firdaus Zulkeple (Pito), lead guitarist Rudy Iskandar and drummer Ruviyamin Ruslan.
