One of the last Selk'nam, and a shaman, Lola recorded the chants of her people with anthropologist Anne MacKaye Chapman during the winter of 1964/1965 and again in the spring of 1966. Of the ninety-two chants recorded that year, eighty-seven were issued on four records in 1972 and 1978. She was Born in the late 1800s, and passed away on 9 October 1966, at over the age of ninety.
