A.k.a. Sérgio Lemos & João Barroso
The basis of their music is essentially computerised, characteristically using software that allows them to incorporate virtual instruments, loops and samples. On live performances, it all comes to a sort of cyber-karaoke in which 60% of the final product is reproduced and the remaining 40% is played live.Musically, they don't buy into any set label, there's a will to experiment without being experimental. Lolly and Brains music thrives on the use of cliché, irony, provocativeness and innuendo, occasionally daring to tackle the music of such disparate acts as AC/DC, Suicide, Peaches, The Cramps, Serge Gainsbourg, Man Or Astro Man?, among others.
