The Lool Gang starred in the early 1970s Israeli TV series "Lool", literally chicken coop. The song and sketch program lasted for all of four episodes but has developed a cult following. The program featured songs written and performed by singers who would become among the most prominent in Israel, including Arik Einstein, Shmulik Kraus, Shalom Hanoch, and Miki Gavrielov. The group "Lool" refers to the members of the cast. Lool, the series, was released on DVD both in Israel and internationally in 2004.
