Producer of Electronic and R&B/Soul
A DJ /Producer from San Francisco, who’s music has been described as synth pop, electro meets 70s cop / horror movie soundtracks. A late starter to the music world, Loosh Shus only really began making music about 10 years ago. He had originally started out studying film, which also gave him an introduction into production soundtracks. It was this insight into soundtracks that took Loosh Shus out of film and into music. His influences, not surprisingly, are heavily entrenched in the film composers of the seventies, especially the Italian, Giallo, genre of films. This mystery/horror genre, that was most prominent from 1970 to 1975, gained a reputation for gratuitous violence and sexuality and served as a big influence on the American Slasher film. Of the musicians who worked on this genre of cinema Loosh Shus sights two above all others Italian progressive rock band Goblin, who were known for their work for Dario Argento, and Fabio Frizzi, an Italian musician and composer best known for his film scores and collaborations with famous horror director Lucio Fulci. In 2009 he signed on to plant the Music where he released his first EP Taurus. He is also a member of the extended family that make up the French collective Valerie.
