The 4th Lord Aberdare to hold the title, Morys George Lyndhurst Bruce was born on 16 June 1919, succeeded is father in 1957, and died on 23 January 2005. In between, he served as an officer in the Second World War, became a champion Real Tennis player, wrote books, served as a British cabinet Minister under Ted Heath, and helped establish the World Record Club. In doing so, along with Fiona Bentley and Cyril Ornadel, he established the eponymous production company F.C.M. Productions to record music for the club, as a step away from relying on the major labels for recordings.
