Sworn into a long lineage of hip-hop royalty, it’s hard to imagine that the magnificent emcee Lord Diamonds was once a mere a fan of the genre such as you and I. Crowned by his fans as the king of castle rap, Lord Diamonds is a solo alternative hip-hop artist who is known for his regally inspired music and appearance. His style fuses suave & sophisticated regal raps over hip-hop & chiptune breaks while often talking about royalty, money, power and all other things involved in the Lord’s high grade of living. Frequent collaborations with Rushden & Diamonds band mate Michael Rushden and Ex-Cadence weapon turntablist DJ Weezl have lead Michael to recently being featured on the Bronx based hip-hop legend Kool Keith’s album El Dorado Driven and on an upcoming release by the underground emcee / Capcom signee, Mega Ran. In promotion of his releases Is Forever (2010), Something For The People (2012), I Am Rich (2013), Trapped In The Castle (2014) and most recently Robert’s Quest (2015), the Lord has toured extensively throughout Canada, USA, Europe and Asia while rocking stages with the likes of Kool Keith, RiFF RAFF, Kutmasta Kurt, Slum Village, KRS-One, Black Sheep, Flying Lotus, Dilated Peoples and more! Recently Lord Diamonds released the Remixed and Remastered version of Robert’s Quest which features 6 mystic tracks that are sure to cast a spell over the modern rap game.
