[Front Cover] Cook Presents Lord Melody [Back Cover] Melody's Top Ten Made in Trinidad [Spine] Melody's Top Ten [label] Gold with black detail Melody's Top Ten Recorded Sept./Dec. '60 Made in Trinidad Lord Melody's third album for Cook and fourth overall. In Trinidad this was called Melody's Top Ten and featured the green cover with smiling Melody. The cover says Lord Melody Presents, but the spine says Melody's Top Ten. Exactly the same cover would be used for his following album More Calypsoes From Lord Melody (Lord Melody 1962 in the US), but with that album's title printed onto the front (Melody's Top Ten is still on the spine). In the US, it was called Calypso Through The Looking Glass and featured a cover with Melody staring into a mirror, and a donkey looking back at him. To make matters simpler it is often known as Calypso Through The Looking Glass (Melody's Top Ten), combining the two names. There are subtle differences between the US mono and stereo covers. The shading in the mirror, and the little circle which mentions mono or stereo. Also, the mono version has orange text whereas the stereo has red text. The mono versions of this have a different track order to the stereo. It is not known what Melody's preference for track order was, or if he particularly cared.
