The summer of 2010 gave birth to Orange County, CA’s newest spawn, Lords of Ruin. A band with one simple mission: to bring back honest, powerful & heavy hard hitting rock & roll. For many years now, metal has taken a turn into a mega-fast, double bass, growling, cookie-monster type of a thing. Those elements are nowhere to be found here with Lords of Ruin. This is big riffs, big choruses, head banging rhythms and words you not only hear, but feel. Elements that Judas Priest, AC/DC, Metallica, Pantera and many others have combined before, but THIS is the metal that Lords of Ruin brings to the table. This is also what has been destroying stages around Southern California since the band’s first show back in 2010 opening for KORN. Guitarists Jimmy Craig & Chico Tovar grew up in underground metal scenes but on 2 different continents playing in numerous bands, while Boquette toured extensively with his past projects Drown, Famous & SiX. The 3 musicians all met through the love of music and started creating the beast which became Lords of Ruin. Friends Eric Dilday, Travis Dunn & Corey Bush were early collaborators and also recorded on the band’s last Ep “Life is a War” but were soon replaced by official members bassist Anthony Robles and drummer Lagarto “Paco” Marley. This is powerful music. Music that is meant to make you move, scream, dance, fight, live, love and feel completely alive. Welcome to the new face of metal music or as the band likes to claims it “Hardcore Rock & Roll” Lords of Ruin: Lauren Boquette (vocals) Jimmy Craig (lead guitar) Chico Tovar (rhythm guitar) Anthony Robles (bass) Lagarto “Paco” Marley (drums)
