A writer, illustrator and musician from Texas (1949-2013). When he died, his obituary read: "Lore was always ahead of his timing but in his own time, his many accomplishments included: musician, graphic artist, illustrator, song-writer, author of children’s story books, designer of the classic 'Panama Red' album cover for the New Riders of the Purple Sage, cartoon writer for D.C. Comics and National Lampoon, play-writer of 23 productions, critical thinker, creator and humorist. His songs were recorded by Tim McGraw in which the sales were multi-platinum. His songs were also recorded by the late Waylon Jennings and Chris Ledoux. He had a top-10 hit for Bill Anderson and Mary Lee Turner. He was a member of the MCA recording group 'Bandera.' He made his international debut with his band, 'Lore and the Legends' and was later part of the innovative Texas group named 'Kattl.' His songs were also recorded by the Bama Band, Larry Mahan and Kayte Strong." His son Lore Sjöberg is a well-known humorist and author.
