Album CA 2011 on Wrong Records label
Electronic (Experimental)
Self-Help Classics was originally conceived and created in early summer 2009. The album was a continuation of the ideas first developed on Odium featuring more live drums by Matthew, subsequently looped and modified into song arrangements by Lothar. The song titles take on a bit of a dadist approach. For instance, "This Worldly Cleric" (undoubtedly the album's highlight track), has nothing to do with clerics and in fact discusses sexually transmitted diseases. Some of the other songs feature found sound samples from actual 911 phone calls and purring cats. Some remixing and improvements to the drums were made in June 2011.
