Rhythm 'n'blues - soul - electro singer - songwriter - producer - music journalist - poet Born on 27.11.1950 in New York City. Debuted on Atlantic Records in 1969 with "Motor-Cycle," a semi-autobiograhical LP fusing urban poetry with rock, R&B, and jazz Her groundbreaking - pioneering work has made her a seminal female figure in music business. During the early 80's she collaborated extensively with Arthur Baker and formed electro hip hop group Warp 9 with co-producer Richard Scher. In 1985 she moved to Los Angeles where she started working in a semi-regular basis with Tommy Faragher. She is featured in "Rap Attack 3: African Rap To Global Hip Hop" by David Toop, and "Signed, Sealed, and Delivered: True Life Stories of Women of Pop"
