Musician of Classical
Classical wind + woodwind instrumentalist. A Paris native, Speyer studied at the Paris Conservatory and played in many French orchestras until the first World War. In 1918 he came to the United States with the Guarde Republique Band, and was offered a position with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, for which he played for several decades (English horn).
