Louis Sarno is an ethnomusicologist from Newark, New Jerey, USA. Since the 1985 he has been living amongst the Bakaya (Aka (11)) Pygmies from the Central African Republic and recording their music and culture. He has become a full member of the tribe, is married to a Bayakan, and has two children with her. The 2011 movie Oka! (Listen!) is based on his life; and the 2013 feature length documentary Song From The Forest is about his life with the Bakaya and their music.
