Louise Dowd is a composer and music producer writing both independently and in collaboration with other composers, musicians and performing artists. Her music can be heard across the globe on tv shows, commercials, films and video games. Louise is a self-taught composer, producer, singer and songwriter. She bought her first bass guitar and Atari computer in her teens and started writing music inspired by artists such as Kate Bush, NIN, David Bowie, Jeff Buckley, Duran Duran, The Rolling Stones, Smashing Pumpkins and Joni Mitchell. Louise signed her first publishing deal with Rondor Music in 1995, during which time she had the opportunity to work and perform with artists including William Orbit and INXS. Since then Louise's dedication and passion for making music has seen her work with producers including Alan Moulder, Dave Bascombe and Gus Dudgeon. Louise has extensive knowledge and experience in sound engineering, recording and production. She has produced and written songs for artists including Tiffany Page (Mercury Records), Toni Halliday (Curve) and Beth Rowley (Chrysalis Music). She has been commissioned to write and produce exclusive music for clients including Princess TV, Big Talk Productions and Ricochet. Other clients have included Sky TV, BBC, Channel 4, ITV and the Discovery Channel. Her songs have been used on films including Hideo Nakata's 'Chatroom' and Philippe Godeau's 'Le Dernier Pour La Route. She has extensive knowledge and experience in songwriting, sound design, recording and music production. Louise was introduced to the Universal Publishing Production Music library in 2005. Since then she has contributed to many projects and albums for UPM labels Atmosphere, Bruton, Chappell, Nuggets and Match. She currently has over one 200 tracks available across their catalogues. She has been commissioned to write and produce exclusive music for clients including Zodiak Media, Princess TV, Big Talk Productions and Unilever. Other clients have included, BBC, Channel 4, ITV, Sky and the Discovery Channel. Her songs have been used on films including; ‘You’re Not You ‘ starring Hilary Swank, Cedric Kahn’s ‘Wild Life’, Pierre Godeau’s ‘Down By Love’, Hideo Nakata's 'Chatroom', Fabienne Berthaud’s ‘Sky’ and Philippe Godeau's 'Le Dernier Pour La Route.
