Band,
Rock and Pop
Formed in 2005 by Aiha Higurashi and Takahiko Akiyama, Loves became a feature on the live circuit in Tokyo. Their first album, Lucky Me was released in March 2007 to critical acclaim and was a lot 'lighter' in tone than that of Higurashi's former band, Seagull-Screaming-Kiss-Her-Kiss-Her. In October 2007, the band were included on a 4-track split single of music featured in the Matsuo Suzuki film, Welcome to the Quiet Room. Their contribution being the stand alone track, Naked Me. In 2008, the band released their second album This is the Time, although with a slight name change, the album being credited to Aiha Higurashi and Loves. July 2010 saw the band revert to their original name, and JM was released under, Loves, on the Space Shower Music label. The band split shortly after and Higurashi went on to form the 3-piece all girl band, The Girl.
